Peter was a top-level player with Hungarian club MTK Budapest and in the US he played for semi-pro team national Open Cup Champions San Jose Oaks which dominated Northern California Soccer prior to the formation of the MLS.
Peter was one of the best players in the Northern California area where he captained the San Jose Major League Champions Club D'Etaples playing alongside Gary Ireland and national team player/coach Christopher Sullivan. Gary Ireland arranged for Peter to visit Brunei as guest player for the Crown Prince of Brunei team, DPMM and was also offered a contract with CISL indoor professional team San Jose Grizzlies.
Peter started coaching with the Ireland family at World Soccer in California since 1992 when he moved from Hungary.
